Might as well add myself here - I am also new - not quite sure how everything works yet. I'm from the pre-technology age - grandma age 76 this year. But I have read many contributions and enjoyed them - sometimes they are like reading the "funny papers" for me. I DA'd a year ago. Have been associating with WTS ever since the 60's - and hate to refer to them as JW's for fear of taking Jehovah's name in vain so you will usually see me refer to the outfit as WTS.
And now for the fun of finding out what my avatar is going to be - I know what I want - but unsure of how to get it in place - saw a pic of a cross-eyed possum the other day I thought just fit me - otherwise I'm looking for a pic of a Seagull - I feel like a scavenger personally - need to clean up the shores of the WTS if you know what I mean. And a Seagull would fit the saltyoldlady moniker I chose.

Not really new here. Just been a lurker for some time. Now, 100 posts later, new doesn't seem accurate. Still reeling over the overlapping generation and the attack on education, and other things not so important. But still Desirous Of Change.
NUGGET: Hi recently I was Df'd for stating that the governing body was not Gods sole channel of communication.

A big welcome to you too, foolmetwice! Like you, I've never been in the wt, but have a SIL in, and some friends. They try to convert me and I try to deconvert them!
Look forward to your story and sorry you've had such a rough time. I saw how my SIL changed over the years, it's sad to watch.
