I have not posted on this thread since getting back. Sorry I have just been working a lot and only get just a few minutes here and there to read the board since coming home.
I want to say so much about what a great time I had. Everyone was so great to be around.
Hats off to Flipper and his wife they are the best for making this possible. Without them it would not have happened. Flipper and all of his great meals and all the work he puts into them.
OTWO and JRK flying in. It was so great to reconnect with OTWO from last year and meeting JRK for the first time.
The Jones family were so nice. The kids are the best you ever want to meet. So sweet, the Jones sure are great parents. I loved getting to finally meet them.
I loved visiting with Dagney and her sister Emmylou. I wish I could have spent more time there that night talking.
I loved finally meeting Kudra I have heard so many great things about her from Flipper and Mrs. Flipper.
The whole time was so great but went by way to fast. It seemed like we just got there and then it was over.
My husband came this year though like Flipper said he got sick on the way down with pneumonia that was very stressful. I was so disappointed as I wanted to camp with everyone and we had to get a hotel room instead. I was just hopping that some of the good conduct from everyone would rub off on him.
I also wanted to apologize for his standing up for the religion on Monday. He is still in and it drives me crazy. Flipper and OTWO you handled that so well. OTWO your example of the school system was great and I used that on him after we left he said it made a lot of sense to him.
He was still really sick with the pneumonia and his thinking was strange but just the fact that he came is huge.
I heard today that many in the hall have been really sick and that some others have had bronchitis and even pneumonia. My husband went out in service three weekends before the trip and the elder he was with got full blown bronchitis the Monday after that weekend. Turns out he was not feeling good when he was in service. I truly wish the JW's would just stay home when they are sick.
Anyway I loooooved the time I was with everyone and I miss you all so much. I truly hated to leave.

PS again I truly want to thank Flipper and Mrs Flipper for making us feel so welcome at their home, and what a cute house they have. I do not know what I would do without them, they are truly the best.

LITS, I am just happy that you made it safely with all your obstacles. Strength to you. I imagine catching up on work was pretty important after your adventures.

Yeh I have been really busy with work and I am still healing from the surgery but I am doing much better this week.
I just loved the time we spent down there, it was so great.

You guys and girls are so adorable... and so normal.....makes me rather envious. Oh, and Mr Flipper you have a lovely pucker....chuckle..
Perhaps one day the venue can be changed to include a country where most of you will benefit from the exchange rate....and we are near the sea....(a girl can dream....)

KUDRA- Really enjoyed having you again this year at Tahoe ! I agree, the teenagers & children were so awesome ! Really cool young people who definitely can hold their own in conversations with the adults in the group. It was so great meeting your friend Gettingafirmhold and meeting others as well ! LIFE IS TOO SHORT- It was really nice to have you and your husband at Tahoe ! Nice to meet him finally after about 3 years of knowing you ! He seemed to really like everyone and respond to their kindness . It was nice having you folks to our home as well. You are welcome anytime. I hope you & hubby are both feeling better and recovering from your physical health problems.
It was sad to leave everybody and get back to work, but we all have made some new friends and got reaquainted with old friends again ! And that's what it's all about- being there for one another and showing true human compassion and unconditional caring. We all felt a lot of that I feel on this trip ! Hope to see you guys again next year ! Take care.
OTWO- It was even hard for me to have to work all night again the last night of the trip. Hard to get back into the grind as I still felt like swimming in Tahoe ! Oh well , that's life. Hope you and JRK can make it again next year hopefully ! Hope you got back into your grind O.K. back home.
THETIS- We would love to have you come sometime to Tahoe ! Perhaps we can have it at another venue as well. Thanks for the compliment on my " pucker " . LOL ! I'm late in posting on this thread - a few days ago I was wondering, did they take any pics at the Lake Tahoe Apostafest???
So I went looking for this thread and here you all are!!!
I agree with the comments about the Jones family - Mr and Mrs Jones are lovely looking people and their children are GORGEOUS!! Especially Little Miss Jones - I bet she's beating the boys off with a stick!
I wish we had enough posters in Australia to do something like this. Maybe one day.

BROKEN PROMISES - Thanks ! It was a really fun time for all of us ! I believe we had about 20 people there or so. The Jones family are beautiful indeed . Hopefully enough Aussies can get together in Australia to have a apostafest also sometime ! Might have to lure some of the New Zealanders over as well to get a good group together. If you are ever in the States here in America you are certainly welcome to join us for the Tahoefest ! Take care, hope you are doing well
