The WTBTS maintained that heart is not just a pump, it is linked to the brain through nerves and is the actual organ where affections, motivations, desires and emotions are literally formed. (Watchtower3/1/71, p. 133-135)
The Society eventually and quietly abandoned the idea that literal heart is responsible for affections, motivations, desires and emotions. (Watchtower 9/1/84, p. 6).
but it doesn't explain what is physically causing the "tempter" to suddenly choose that moment to strike.
Respectful: The "tempter" is always in striking mode (see horney, slutty whore who is always on the prowl noted above), it is just that when the "temptee(?)" is doing all the good spiritual upbuilding things -- prayer, meditation, meetings, FS, etc -- this is not a temptation for them. AH!, but catch the temptee in a spiritually weak, worn down condition (following porn, booze, wordly association, fight with wife as noted above), NOW the "tempter" is striking at just the right time -- the weakest moment of the temptee.
Such spinning makes me dizzy.

Wait, I did occasionally mention out loud who I thought was sexy. I was never confronted with "temptation" to hook up with any of them, though. Why not???
