ABBA, my first album, I was 14. Still love most of their music, to this day. "Gimme, gimme, gimme a (wo)man after midnight.... "

Funny story: It was acceptable music to my parents, however, onetime I tapped it for a friend, his mom, an overzealous zealot (sorry witness) destroyed his tape, saying its denomic music !!!!

    ABBA denomic music ?? omg...

My sister bought an ABBA album as a act of rebellion against our very conservative parents.

To her horror..... they liked the music!!!!

So we played A LOT of ABBA during the 70s and 80s. With the approval of our strict JW parents, LOL.

I love Abba. Scandinavian music has a magic quality to it that is distinctive.

    So many songs.....so many memories.

My grandsons loved to watch our vhs with Abba videos and they loved for us to play the CD's.

I love this song and video because it shows the two couples in happier times playing a board game and laughing. They looked so happy. It's so sad that it couldn't last.

This is the first song I heard by Abba. It was 1975. I remember exactly where I was when I heard it. I was 17. This was right before my sister exposed me to the WTBTS.

The Visitors (Crackin' Up) If you haven't heard this one, listen. Abba wasn't all fluff and loves songs. This one is amazingly different.

This song can be interpreted in different ways.

When my beloved, cherished friend was losing his mind to mental illness and deep delusions, this song made sense when I would think of him. It makes me feel so tender towards him.

Some people think this has to do with aliens, others think it has to do with psychotic delusions. Others think it has to do with how fame can close you up in your own home like a prisoner.

    I LOVE ABBA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I memorized so many of their songs.

It was my mom's favorite band and she had all of their albums.

My sister and I used to sing to them and act out The Winner Takes It All.

The inside drama plaging them was that Agnetha (ahn-yet-ah) was the audience's favorite and Frida was jealous of her.

The gossip I heard was that they were into wife swapping.

Don't know if it's true, but they did all divorce and remarry.

Frida has kids but I don't know if Agnetha does.
