jgnat the witnesses are very ignorant of history because most of them think they are getting a college education by just reading the WT & Awake. When all you are given is bits and pieces of selected history all you get is some very closed mind people. This is what cults do. sabastious is right when he said "they ignore those centuries of history" because of the burden of proof that would be reached. Your exactly right Outlaw. That image provides evidence for the cognition levels of the average Rank and File. It just takes a few cog turns in the brain to figure out that going door to door with scrolls would be one of the worst ways to preach the good news in the 1st century. Jesus spoke to crowds for a reason. Most of them couldn't read! According to the Watchtower's art department the 1st century Christian's were complete morons.

Oral tradtion was the main way that the gospel was PASSED on, but the written tradtion of letters and later the actual gospels was how it was preserved.

Fact is that without the catholic church and the orginal Catholic Canon, there would have been NO Christianity as we know it, at all.

As much as the WT would like people to believe their BS, their OWN history shows it to be just that, BS.

We do have an unbroken line to the apostles and that line is the Universal Christian Chruch which is made up of ALL christians from all denominations.

All christians are catholics by orign, whether they liek to admit it or not.

Not all are ROMAN Catholics, but all are from the Catholic ( Universal) Church.
