The Guru seemed completely loopy and talked a load of utter nonsense. He chundered all night too ( my shaman has done this for 16 years in Peru and and never purges and niether did I.
I'm sure they could have had a lot more fun with some mushrooms and not had to put up with the side effects. ( I have done mushrooms and DMT and the difference is like driving a car or being in a 747 jet. Plus purging can be part of the journey. Sometimes you need to get rid of toxic stuff in your body.
