  He found out that the biggest tree his stone axe could cut down was only 3" in diameter. Maybe Noah had better tools- and better glue, but I doubt it.

  I have better stone tools than that.

  When NZ Maori made a new waka, they didn't wait for a rotten tree to fall over.

  The hull of this waka is carved out of one tree.

  This one is a modern replica and was probably felled with a chainsaw, but all they had was stone tools and fire before the Pakeha turned up.
