Observing how stranglers and those who get ahead of the wt org are left or get ostricised reminded me of similar dynamics in some animal societies, lions, for instance. Lions and housecats are the only felines that form groups. Pack members who get sick or injured and become unable to keep up w the pride are left behind. No pride members come back w food for them. They starve and become prey to other predators.
It is often the same type of thing for jws who become socalled spiritualy sick or depressed and fail to share in important jw activities such as field service and meetings. Also, for jws who question doctrines. Minimal efforts are made to redirect such ones toward the center of the org. After that, upstanding members shy away from them.
Another animal pack trait is the wt clear cut member/nonmember defintion. It is always to be kept in mind, who is jw and who not. This is like the meerkat families. Meerkats have close family ties. They use various customs like scent marking and grooming each other to bond. When an outsider, even one who could have been a member previously, is spotted, an alrm is sounded and they all become alert and, as a group, repel the outsider. Also, when another group infinges on their territory, they have huge battles.
Similar w wt org, other religions, especially the catholic church are seen as enemies to be hated and verbally attacked. Also, jws are taught to always ask which congregation another jw goes to, in order to ascertain that they are genuinely part of the group.
Being animalistic in nature, how then can the org claim to be no part of the world? True, they feel estranged from other people. However, estrangement is a common factor among religious cults and mentally sick people. Wt estrangement is not based on love, which some people consider to be a divine attribute, but tribalistic and more archaically, animal in nature. The wt org has reverted backward towards the animal, receding from the human civilizational spectrum. It's worldly.
