Basically all I am attempting to do is change my user name . . . so I re-registered and struck the problem in the opening post under my new account. I simply wish to cancel old acc and use new one . . . any suggestions? . . . contact with admin seems unavailable

All new accounts have a very low posting limit until they have been fully approved. You should not be creating duplicate accounts anyway.
