Who Do You Know Holds The World Record For The Most DFings?

A great gal named Wilma J-----, but the elders called her "warm hearted Wilma with the roll down pants". Nobody could stay mad at her for long because she was just a sweet, lusty lady. Don't know how many times she went through the revulving door.

I never did learn what the average hours per month were but the Congregation was one of those in Puyallup. No wonder the Northwest has had such a bad reputation. This was back in the mid 90's.

Puyallup....that's hilarious...who wants to go out in service when it's bucketing down rain most of the time. Between the rain and the doom and gloom religion, and living in Puyallup, it's no wonder so many of the "friends" were on anti-depressants most of the year. (even some of the kids were on Children's Chewable Prozac)

I know a lot of people in the hall you are talking about. I wonder if we know eachother too. I grew up going to a nearby Hall and the PO was a Nazi....his initials are C.M. When he arrived, he cleaned house. The teen agers had to sit in the front row of the hall on Sunday and answer assigned questions at the watchtower study. If your hair wasn't short enough...he'd pull your publishers card. He would take peoples bible studies away from them and assign them to someone else if things weren't progressing fast enough.

One of the Pioneer Sisters who's husband wasn't a Witness would regularly run off with someone and get herself DF'd . A really nice lady but she just oozed with sexuality and couldn't help herself. She'd come back a few months later and her non witness husband who always sounded like he could be Gay...(maybe that was the problem.) would take her back. After her third disfellowshipping, he actually came into the truth and eventually became an elder.

exwhyzee - am racking my brains trying to think of a C.M. but drawing a blank. You had me roaring about the gloomy drizzling climate. It is true. Maybe we do know each other but I don't think I ever remember a PO being that "controlling" - oh wait a minute I do know who you are talking about. Oh my goodness - I was never in the same hall as he but have to tell you a funny story about him. I used to do a little spit and pee test (we called it the shit and spit test) to help people with their health. There was a lady in your congregation that dragged tons of people over to see me and be tested. He came one time and then sent his mother to see me. I discussed his health with his mother. Oh my goodness - you can't believe the wrath that brought down on me. He called me up the morning after and not realizing I had a speaker phone - it was located in my kitchen so I could talk with people but go right on with my cooking - and my husband (a non-witness) was home so he heard every word. C.M. read me the riot act - don't think I have ever been dressed down so thoroughly - I was "unprofessional" and on an on and never should have discussed his problems with his mother They were very ordinary run of the mill type things - nothing unusual - so I thought nothing of it - and yes I was an unprofessional quack - charged nothing - and you got what you paid for, buddy. But he was angry and the milder and more docile I got the worse he got. That scripture about a mild answer turns away rage just did not apply in his case - and the funniest part was he told me - "How do you expect me to be able to control the brothers if they know I am sick." He came across to my husband as a little Napoleon and that he indeed was. He used to make good money on his janitorial work but pay the brothers and sisters the lowest wages possible. And a friend of mine told me he was asked to step down from his position for a short time because of "his lack of kindness."

But it was short. The last I saw of him was working out in Field Service with him at a different congregation many years later - he didn't remember or recognize me and I was glad of that. We actually had a good time. His wife was sweet as they come. I went there to visit another friend and so we went together in field service several times. But one thing he said at an assembly one time that always stuck with me and I thought was great - going in field service was a lot like learning to play a musical instrument. If you just spent 2 hours a week doing it you'd never get anywhere - you needed to be spending at least an hour every day to develop any skills. And I think he was right. 2 hours a week wasn't enough to even get anything exciting rolling. (At least not for me - others were much more glib at the doors than myself.) But he and his wife have been in the Borg forever - and I think she was raised as a witness from early childhood. Didn't know as much about his background. But he still rules the roost the same way now as he did then. I mean a firm hand and no bending or yielding or mercy for anyone. I don't think there has ever been an elder as hated as he was. He was trouble no matter where he served. And they were older than myself so if they are still alive they are way way up there in years now.

Most DF'd must also get the award for most stupid.

If you get df'd a second time and you have not wised up, then, yeah, stupid is as stupid does.

Has anyone noticed that people who get disfellowshipped in tend to be poorer Witnesses? It would be great to be able to quantify this because I think there definitely would be a relationship between your social background and the likelihood of being disfellowshipped.

Slim - that would not surprise me one bit. It's the same correlation between those below the poverty line and their likleyhood of ending up in jail. I guess that they could start terming them "at risk" JWs.

I think "Andre" holds all record related to the WTB&TS.

How did she get reinstated that many times?

There are people on this forum who have been DFd once and have waited years before even being considered for reinstatement.

I think her description may hold the answer to that question:

she liked sex.....just not with her JW husband

    Saltyoldlady: check your PM

He came across to my husband as a little Napoleon

That's what they used to call him...he was Mad with power...French and short....so it fit !

His wife was sweet as they come.

"E"....she was a shining example of a long suffering Christian Woman with a quiet and mild spirit....she was his saving grace.

Oh my goodness....we are defenitly talking about the same person here . You are not the only one who got read the riot act over the phone. My Dad wasn't a Witness and had to come to my Mom's rescue when "C" went off on her over the phone one night after the Thursday meeting and brought her to tears. He made her go get her Bible and read outloud to him a bunch of scriptures about diciplining children. It turns out he was angry because my newborn Sister was crying so much at the meeting (turns out she was allergic to her formula) He came by our house in a car group the following Saturday in day in service. My Dad happened to be in the driveway when he drove up. With the entire group looking on, he told "C" never to speak to his wife that way again or he would have to deal with him personally. He was holding a rake in his hand at the time and in his anger, had it raised up and was gripping it tightly...he looked pretty menacing. I was in Jr highschool and I thought it was so cool . LOL !

Women who didn't have a husband in the truth came in for a lot of this kind of abuse from him. I saw him a few weeks ago at a funeral...he was a tiny little old man....everyone was talking about how afraid they used to be of him. He was the reason so many either left the Org. or changed Halls. His wife was as sweet as ever.

You had me roaring about the gloomy drizzling climate.

That and having to navigate Meridian Ave. to get to the Hall to go in field service would be enough to make anyone suicidal LOL !
