Thank you Berengaria! I'll send you a PM.

Terry, Regarding this board, for me, it's a place to learn, a place to be entertained, and a place to meet friends. The tone will naturally ebb and flow depending on who is posting and what's going on with world events and the Watchtower. I love it all.

1.Do you see a Thread Topic and read ALL of the posts before you comment? Or, do you jump to the end and have your say?

I usually get to topics that interest me early in the thread so I am able to read all the posts before I comment. Also to avoid redundancy.

2.Do you consider what the actual Topic started off being rather than where it may have derailed?

Yes, but if the divergence is well along, I may respond to that.

    3. Do you ask and answer questions factually, with references, quotations? Or, is yours exclusively an emotional response?

Try to use references, quotes, but my response is from the heart.

4.Do you care if there is a fundamental difference between an opinion and a fact?

    Yes.

5.Are your posts HUGE CHUNKS OF DENSE PARAGRAPHS THAT GO ON AND ON AND ON AND ON AND ON?

    No.

6.Are you pithy (like Minimus) and to the point?

As a business writer, often with a word limit, I appreciate the value of being concise. I edit after composing.

7.If you had to characterize your own contributions to JW-net in one word or two at the most; what would it be?

    To the point.

My starting point with any discussion is to view all facts as opinions (because of my wt background). Next I ask what is the opinion excluding and what is it including? What is it saying nothing about? These three questions are very important to me because I like to see what the minority/excluded position is. MY replies are then based on this. its wacky but from my heart and I expect to (and always do) learn something from the replies

emotional content is a very important and real part of opinions.

Yet another meaningful and thought provoking topic from Terry. I have considered all the questions asked but will allow others to form their own opinion about my posts.

Over time our approach to the forum is bound to change. We come here full of emotion, often upset and angry. Debate and argument are valuable tools in dissipating that emotion. Knowing we are not alone helps.

Eventually we have to ask why we are here. If we no longer need support from others, perhaps we have something to offer to those who are still struggling to come to terms with loss. However long we have been here, a sensible debate is always a joy.

What is interesting is that each poster has replied in their own unique style, which is more telling than their self assessment.
