There is, indeed no real proof of Russel being a Freemason.

But thats not strange for a Mason in anyway, they mostly dont proclaim themselves as being one, and the symbolics he used and whe're he is burried indicate different then the mainstream opinion of the JW. I think he was a freemason. There is no proof he was, but also no proof that he wasnt .

I think if statements and claims are made about Chazzer being a Mason we need positive testable proof, otherwise the credibility of this site is lost.

The WT loves to accuse us of using lies, half-truths and innuendo.

This subject has been done to death, there is nothing other than the most circumstantial stuff to offer, so please simply present it for what it is, unsubstantiated conjecture that is of little relevance anyway.

BTW Charles Taze Russell started the Watchtower Society and he and his members were Bible Students. He died in 1916. In 1931, Rutherford started Jehovah's Witnesses.

There is the careful research done by Barbara Anderson checking with the masons in Pennsylvania.
