Did away with all organized religion- But you folks will be happy with that occurence, because the door to door work stops- But it starts the tribulation and it closes the ark door persay,you wont be happy about that. Then whenever they are saying-peace and security-sudden destruction-as satan leads every kingdom ( govt,armies,supporters ) against God at Harmageddon. And all who arent in the ark will follow the word patriotism to their destruction. 3 inspired expressions come during the trib-all who arent in the ark will believe them.

I guess by ark door he meant the local KH - The RBC failed to mention the bunkers that were contructed during the quick builds.

There really is no reason for them to give up on it, as the only reasons they change doctrine currently are monetary and legal. Armageddon doesn't fall under either of those catagories.
Armageddon is their hell fire. They go on and on about how unloving it would be for God to burn people, but they talk out of both sides of their mouth. They argue it is loving for their God to "cleanse the earth" so they can enjoy it without all of the riff-raff. Of course their cleansing includes the murder of millions of innocent children, so I say no thanks to their pipe dream paradise.

People. The Watchtower religion is an APOCALYPTIC, DOOMSDAY CULT...or as some would define it..a MILLENARIAN SECT...meaning its entire theology is predicated upon the imminent return of Christ, Armageddon, and the ushering in of the Millenium. That's what it's all about.. Without that, there is no emotional manipulation..nothing to keep "the flock" in line..no motivation or reward for obedience...no impetus to sacrifice your life for the sake of preaching from door to door every waking moment of your life not consumed by a minimum amount of secular work, urination/defecation, and sleep.
You take away an imminent Armageddon and the entire house of cards comes crashing down in flames. This is the same reason they will NEVER discard 1914 date, no matter how much time elapses or how distant and insignificant that date becomes..Without 1914, all their other understood "fulfillments" of bible prophecy in the following years, such as their selection as God's instrument, falls apart.
Most of their doctrine will change, vascilate, and continue to be redefined as they adapt to changing circumstances..it will be a slow, gradual evolution, forced upon them by the passing of time..
Yet, they will never ever give up on three core concepts:
- 1914,1919
- Armageddon
- Two class of sheep doctrine - faithful and discreet slave
If they ditch ANY of the three things above, they lose all control over their "sheep"..And of course..they will never allow that to happen.

The WTS uses Armageddon to try to get the publishers to continue zealously in the work of preaching until the end that is picture as being soooo close. Cleaver way to get workers for no cost.
