Yep, needs to be a queen size or larger.

I was in a couple, so I'll answer:

    Ditto, Sphere.

Need to be able to move around and not fall off the bed.

Need a little space between the two so as not to get too hot.

Don't like to get kicked or elbowed, either.

yes, all that wakin' up in each others arms, is stuff you see in the movies

when I need some sleep, all I need is a good pillow and a queen size

bed to allow me enough room to move but still be close enough to know

    that I'm not alone

is queen larger than king? excuse my ignorance, queen isn't very common in the UK - nearly all double/king and superking

We were thinking about getting a queen but since the kids have gotten older and have stopped jumping into bed with us (more like I kicked them out!) we decided a queen is fine.

    California king is bigger.

Why is a single bed called a twin?

Then, there are the double/full mattresses.

    Twin/single

    Double/full

    Queen

    King

    California king

Nothing smaller than a California King!

White Dove--when I think of a twin bed I think of the old black and white movies/Tv shows in which the adults couldn't be shown sleeping together so they appeared in side-by-side "twin" beds. Two of them, exactly alike.
