I saw the car driving under the bridge about 45 seconds before the water started pouring through it......
I don't understand why people would still be in the low lying danger area. They had plenty of warning.......

The person in the car couldn't have known. Apparently tsunami warnings are quite common. Unless you see it coming how can you know, that far inland, that you need to abandon everything (and everyone in some cases) and climb a hill?

I counted at least 4-5 cars driving around. On top of that, you see ppl running from their homes right below at the last possible moment. OMG... there are no words...
