shel,
I do love you, you know. In the most noble way, and have always loved you since our first meeting in San Diego in 2000. In the most noble way. Since the hundred dollars in the gift card you gave to me after the mexican food on Newport St. in OB., which brought tears to my eyes. Since the hundred dollars that I gave back got lost in your Mercedes until you needed it many months later and found it while you were cleaning your car.
Shelby sent me money when I never asked for it. Shelby got me signed up for Social Security and other programs when I never asked for it. Shelby has been the most steadfast friend anyone could ever want.
I've met and spent lots of time with Shelby over TEN years. Those of you who hate her, don't know her.
I'm one of the biggest critics of wackos. I think Shelby just might be a wacko, too. But of all the wackos in all the gin joints in all the world, I will give Shelby lots of chances. Because after all, she has always remained a steadfast and loyal friend of mine.
I'm still trying to teach her logic, though. It's a long process.
