I wanted to take roller skating lessons soooooo bad . They offered them at noon on sat. then you could stay for the reg. afternoon skating. It was only an extra dollor more then the fee for the afternoon skate. Well you all know that was not going to happen, and all of you know why. ..........SERVICE!!!
I too wanted cats.....loved cats.....brought home strays all the time. Sometimes after begging and begging they would let me keep one. They were never around long maybe a yr or so since they were indoor outdoor and never fixed. Then I saw a Siamese in the paper for 10 dollors. My mom drove into the slums of Detriot to get it for me. We didn't even know about litter boxes, so she was indoor outdoor too. Needless to say, she was ripped off before the month was over. Now I have an exotic.......gotta have a cat.......a little girl said that to me once. So funny!
White go go boots with the zipper in the back.. Every girl in the neighborhood was parading down the street in their white go go boots. That was a big NO NO NO !

A birthday party. Or even to be able to attend other kids' birthday parties. To be able to say Merry Christmas or Bless you when someone sneezed. I really wanted to be "normal." Funny thing is I don't think my kids really appreciate their normalcy.

A Canopy Bed with a Ruffled Bedspread and a Princess Phone. I never got them, of course!
A really cool book bag for field service and one of those small note binders with a matching ball point pen!

1.) A pink house. 2.) A black dog. 3.) A baby brother.
1. We moved next door to a pink house.
2. My grandmother's neighbor had a black dog and I was allowed to pet it.
3. My brother was born when I was seven.

LOL at Amelia !
Did you ever get them, different parents ?
I remember wanting an electric train set when I was about 8 yrs. old.
I finally got one when I bought one for my son. It was boring.
Even he didn't play with it much, mind you, he was 21 at the time.
