Very cool. When I was a kid I would have done most anything to have one of those.

I have made a half dozen cannons in my day- the bigggest had a bore of 2.25" - I filled up aluminum cans with concrete for projectiles- 2oz of black power had enough power to cut down a 4" tree in one shot. - A round ball of concrete would go out of sight- The cannon weighted about 60lbs- I'll look for a picture this weekend. Someone stole it from my yard.
Smaller ones I made from two pieces of steel pipe-- Here is my own design- using an inner 1-1/2" schedule 80 pipe that has an OD of 1.90" and a 2" (2.38" OD) schedule 80 pipe has an ID of 1.94"- take a sledge hammer and drive the smaller pipe into the bigger one- heating up the 2" helps- have a machine shop turn a steel cap that fits over the 2" pipe- then weld it up- breech cap and muzzle- weld some trunions on the side at the same time. drive a hole in the breech end big enough for your fuze. The finished cannon will weight about 9lbs per foot. A round ball will weight from 1.5oz to 5oz depending on material- lead is the heaviest- aluminum the lightest. I cast my round balls using scrap pop cans for source metal. You can melt it over a barbecue grill.
This was 30-35 years ago, but I doubt you could shoot one of these today except out west. Maybe just building one could get you arrested today.
