Effective: Ask questions designed to give them the false sense of leadership but still steering them into reading the 'truth about the truth' in their own in pursuit of giving an answer.
Least effective: direct challenges and acting like they aren't knowledgable...

Actually a lot has to do with where they are in the Org and life...
If they are questioning than a uber act of the 'publications' will have the answers approach helps along with validation of their immediate issues

Always remember that JWs are usually JWs because they 'made the truth their own' rather than taking the time to 'make sure all things'......

Ultimately, they must hear the true gospel and embrace the true Christ. We need to speak the truth in love. Every person is individual in what will work. The Holy Spirit alone can convict and convince through the Word of God (properly translated and interpreted). Too many people do nothing to reach them. We should be prepared to give an answer for the hope in us (Peter), but arguing mind-to-mind will not work (though truth/sound doctrine is vital). A question approach from Scripture would be good. Force them to read verses in context apart from WT pat answers. Love and patience will also be needed. 2 Tim. 2:24-26 is a good model (pray, pray, pray since it is spiritual warfare/deception).

Hi Everyone.
We "all fall short of the glory of God". I also know that when a "baptised" sheep returns the angels rejoice.
Brothers. Sisters. Whether genuinely spiritually inclined or in the manner of Adam. Why not reason about the time you are spending speaking about your anguish and hurt? Is your anguish greater on account of Satan than mine? My sinful inclination is certainly no less, "miserable man that I am" well, when I am falling foul to sin that is. *sighs!"
Remember the apostle Stephen and his great faith.
The Truth is in the Holy Scriptures. Did not Jesus say that in the Last Days "the love of the greater number would cool off" and that these were the beginning of the pangs of distress? Beginning.
If we don't widen out in our love has it in fact somehow cooled off?
Also 2nd Thessalonians 2 verse 9+10 "But the lawless one's presence is according to the operation of Satan with every powerful work and lying signs and portents and with every unrighteous deception for those who are perishing as a retribution because they did not accept the love of the truth that they might be saved."
Are people being carried off with the empty deception that originated with Satan? Namely that we might think to governing ourselves without needing Jehovah's guidance. So then, where does mans step belong? With the proverbial Nimrod or our Sovereign Lord Jehovah.
Satan is using froglike expressions to weaken us into misguided or spiritually harmful thinking. The spirit of the air in which we breath is saturated with this persuasive thinking for unreasonable self-gratification. Regrettably, wickededness has sprouted up like grasses.
What I am discerning is that many on here are upset that they feel they have somehow been "lied to". Habbukuk himself said "Even if it should delay" to keep in expectation (with regards to holy and inspired words from Jehovah God).
I tell you the truth, the disciples and apostles of Jesus day thought they were in the Last Days, and so did every generation of true Christians right through until this day.
And yet to Jan Hus and William Tyndale and ones such as these I say oh you marvellous ones.
Endurance. It is a most sought after quality of our faith in Jehovah God.
Why not read about Naomi, and Moses, and Abraham, and Jacob, and Joseph, and Job. All servants of Jehovah whom faced great tests of their endurance and faithfulness. Look at the things they "put up with". Delays, but not without reward.
