'They Shall Know that a Prophet Was Among Them'

To be fair...that wasn't a prophesy...more of an error in calculations or misreporting of information. But still you'd think the mouthpiece for God would have gotten it right the first time.

an error in calculations or misreporting of information

When the WTS came up with an precise date as October 1975, you take that as a deliberate decisive bit of corruption.

its wasn't an accidental calculable math mistake.

They lied and the people like F Franz, the supposed highest qualified bible scholar knew it was a lie.

Its helped the WTS sell quite a few books and magazines the years preceding 1975.

The WTS didn't even take the responsibility directly, that would be too exposing to their little marketing scheme.

Thats just the way religious corporations work, they operate on their own self devised rules of conduct where they themselves

do not have to answer to no one and isn't that valuble opportunistic.

Who has the power above the GB/presidents, when they are all in cohouts with their own deliberate actions ?

Evidently, something happened between the invisible return in 1874 and the other invisible return in 1914 that required a recalculation of everything.

Maybe the upcoming new light regarding the feet on Daniel's statue will clear it all up for us.

    Stay tuned...

I think OBVES is a member of the GB, he too can fire off those dates like nobody's business.

The return of Christ, the End Times, Armageddon these are all quite the marketable concepts for Publishing house to use

as a base for literature producing circulation and proliferation.

All you have to do is make this statements look viable by exploiting verses out of he bible and wallah

people will eat them up like hotcakes.

The chief Editors of the National Enquirer also know how to sell magazines as well.

TIAH= The Time Is At Hand. I guess... One of Russell's books.

The explanation for the 'missing' 100 years is found in the book "God's Kindom of A Thousand Years Has Approached" page 206-211.

I think Rutherford is said to have authored 22 books!

If you start reading in any of them you'll be transported to a place you don't want to be, believe me! Inside Rutherford's head is like peering

    under your toilet seat.

    "

    1972 "If it is his purpose to have this beautification of the whole earth accomplished by the end of his seventh creative day - Scripturally a period of seven thousand years, then the time is near at hand for the ruining of the earth by exploiters to be stopped by theocratic power and the blessed transformation to a delightsome garden to begin. Already, nearly six thousand years of man's existence from the close of the sixth creative day have run their dreary course. We must be approaching the threshold of that thousand-year-long reign of Jesus Christ, which must be accompanied by Paradise according to what Jesus promised the sympathetic evildoer on the stake there at Mount Calvary." {PRTM 18}

Setting aside the looniness of the premise, this paragraph is reasonably well written; just compare it to anything they write currently, especially in the "kool-aid" edition.

    Yes, we MUST BE!

    Why must we be?
