Talking Blood in 2006 — Watchtower, We Have a Problem

I have added a new article to my blog titled Talking Blood in 2006 — Watchtower, We Have a Problem.

My article contains a scan of a Watchtower provided special outline. The article is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2011/05/talking-blood-in-2006-watchtower-we.html

Another excellent point exposing the flawed logic of the Watchtower Society.

You could take that another step further and say the Bible doesn't specifically mention transfusions, either, but there is no way the Borg would go that far. Too late for that kind of turnaround.

The Watchtower has coined the term "component" for the parts of blood that are disallowed, and "fraction" for the parts that are allowed. However, both a fraction and a component are the same thing - a by product from the separation of blood. This "smoke and mirrors" approach satisfies believers that want to take what ever they are spoonfed, but crumbles under scrutiny.

The bible says nothing about blood transfusions either. Only eating blood is forbidden.

Thank you for the post. I have a preference, myself, for logical arguements over doctrinal discussions, often left

    over to interpretation.

    An interesting citation

Many pagan religions profaned blood by the way they used it. For instance it has been the view of many in occultic religions in both ancient and modern times that if you would eat animal, or even human, flesh while it was still living you would receive in yourself the strength, or life force, of the thing being eaten. This was the reason why God placed such a restriction on Noah and Israel.

Love the bit at the end...

''how loving for jehovah through his organization to make such provisions available.''..

obviously they don't stop to wonder why 'jehovah' couldn't have made it all very clear years ago and has to keep updating his own thoughts on the matter.

    Aussie Oz writes:

“obviously they don't stop to wonder why 'jehovah' couldn't have made it all very clear years ago and has to keep updating his own thoughts on the matter.”

Another thing quite a few don’t stop to wonder about is how and why Watchtower previously could say that “fractions” should be forbidden yet today Watchtower cannot say that “fractions” should be forbidden. The only practical reason I can think of is a puffed up view of itself as "the voice of God" that led Watchtower to go "beyond the things that are written." (1 Cor. 4:6)

If the WTS really followed the "principle" they endorse, that blood should be poured out and not stored, none of the products made from smaller parts of blood could ever be possible.

The WTS strains out the gnat and gulps down the camel.

Excellent point, Blondie. How can the WT possibly endorse the use of blood "fractions" which can only come from the processing of previously stored blood. And another question: Can a JW conscientously offer his blood for the sole purpose of having it processed into "fractions" for his brothers/sisters without facing DFing?
