What a joke this was? If a jw tried to talk about spiritual things after the meeting, they would be viewed as backward socially. Not even at a break in an assembly/convention. I often heard elders talking about sports, their job, etc.
Yes we talk about sports, jobs and holidays. I don’t think anyone ever talks about the scriptures or ‘spiritual’ things at all.
but we all do find it encouraging and upbuilding attending meetings and gatherings.
I now view JWlite like the Trekkie conventions. Star Trek is fiction and all the fans know this full well. But they find it beneficial
