Just about anything by Bread is music to slash your wrists by.
The original Dolly Parton version of I Will Always Love You; you can tell that's her baby, whereas the Whitney Houston remake is nice, but no emotion.
To the people citing Johnny Cash's remake of Hurt, I can only assume you've never heard the NIN original, because - while I like Johnny Cash - he does that song absolutely no justice.
