To all the JW moms:

Thanks for raising us in a cult and never doing any research to validate it before you forced it on us.

Thank you for beating us black and blue when we were infants crying at the mind-numbing boredom of 2-hour drone-fest meetings and days-long assemblies and conventions.

Thanks for dragging us around on Saturday mornings and brainwashing us from the age of 5 to hand out tracts and insist on our "beliefs" in school, when we had no idea what we were talking about.

Thanks for not allowing us any association with any children our age unless there happened to be someone our in our Hall (even if they were extremely weird and socially awkward) we'd talk to for 10 minutes after the meetings.

Thanks for forbidding us from playing any sports, playing any fun video games, watching any interesting movies, or ever talking to members of the opposite sex.

Thanks for demonizing college so we'd have a life of being a loser just like the loser you married.

Thanks for brainwashing us with blind emotional responses of gagging at the sight of Christmas decorations, churches, or crosses.

Thanks for raising us to be sexually-repressed prudes who felt guilty every time we were attracted to someone.

Thanks for instilling in us absolutely no scriptural basis for our beliefs, but filling our minds with false claims of Watchtower literature so our entire belief system is based on misquotes, pseudo-scientific voodoo, and revisionist organizational history.

Thanks for guilt-tripping us into getting baptized when we were 12, so we could suffer ramifications for thought, private study, or Scriptural inspiration.

Thanks for leaving us so completely unprepared for real life that we have no social skills, no job skills, no education, no money, no friends, no plans, and no life that doesn't promote the cause of the Watchtower.

Thanks for lying to us about what the world is like so that we're terrified of everybody and everything, imagine demons lurking around every corner and in every item at yard sales, know every "worldly" person is waiting for an opportunity to rob/murder/rape us.

Thank you for ruining our minds for years or decades so that nothing can possibly permeate the indoctrination and brainwashing, so we may never have enough time left in our lives to fully recover from the damage you've wreaked upon us.

To all the JW moms: Thanks for nothing, Bitch.

Don't you like the contrast between an aware mom and one who is more interested in her church group than her children? Not even her God, no; her group. It should make anyone whose mom has gone through the emotional turmoil of rejecting the group appreciate what could have been, if she had just taken the path of least resistance - especially if she fought to teach her kids the difference between God and a cult. Besides, many of those people have posted about their deceased mothers and may not want to hear something negative about any moms.

I will carry the guilt to my grave.

Please, please forgive your mom.
