What part of INTER does the BBC not "get" about INTERNET?

It is REALLY bad form to make something available on line but ONLY for people in certain geographic areas or have some other "special" status.

Thanks for trying Slim. I'm sure it will be on and off of youtube several times over the next few weeks.

I can't access it either; however, I saw the documentary on TV, and it is excellent.

Thanks Slimboy, I would have missed this if you hadn't posted it.

Any chance to see the gorgeous Francesca is TOO good to miss !

The more programmes there are like this the more people will begin to see that the bible and "christianity" are not all that has been claimed for them.

I really enjoyed this slim - the whole hour long investigation. so refreshing to see an enthusiastic academic sharing her discoveries and making it all sound easy to understand. She was careful to observe the cautions of not imputing too much to the evidence and allowing for ambiguity.

So Omri of Samaria was the bigwig all the time as evidenced by his monumental buildings in Samaria dating from the 9th century (if memory serves me correctly). Whereas David was from a sparsely populated settlement area until Judah decided to construct a legendary past based on him during the 7th century.

Thanks for posting Slim-great stuff indeed.

So what did you think of Dawkins performance?

And the others had to say?

I thought Dawkins was pretty boring here. Francesca is awesome to use an Americanism.

Agreed. Maybe he is losing steam?

Personally I though the bishop put some good points across in the debate and the "scholar" only outgunned him in the eye candy department.

The thing that was missing overtly in the discussion is that the bible is living and breathing, it comes alive and speaks directly and personally to the reader, via the Holy Spirit. It was clear to me she was not hearing its message in that way but only as an ancient text. I found the Jewish lady's thoughts far more insightfull.
