Here's hoping and sending positive energy to those who are having a difficult time dealing with the tornadoes in Mpls. and Joplin, Mo tonight. The devastation is horrible. I am sending positive energy to all, and a special thought to Tweetiebird who has family in the area.

Everyone who has been affected, Please check in and let us know you are OK.

Joplin is devastated. All around my neighborhood there is nothing but destruction. We had 4 adults and 3 cats piled into the hallway closet when everything went black and we heard the tornado. We thought we had taken a hit but what we heard was the debris slamming down on us from the neighborhood a couple of blocks away. The tornado hit to the south, north and east of us. I dont know why our neighborhood was spared because we live less than half a mile from the Walmart and Home Depot that got blown away. We live a quarter of a mile from where many of the homes are gone.

Most of Joplin is without power. We are the only ones on our block with a generator and we have opened our home to our neighbors.

Thank you Purple Sofa for calling to check on us. Sorry it took me so long to be able to return your call but cell phone connectivity has been sporadic.

I was not aware that Tweetiebird was from this area. Or is she from OK? I pray she is okay.

Thank you Ohiocowboy for your concern.

    Much love to you,

    Robyn

Wow Robdar, I didn't know you were so close! I am glad you all made it out Okay and that your furry companions too are well. It must have been a very frightening experience for you. I wish you and your neighbors added strength tomorrow when all the devastation will be seen, and then having to deal with the effects.

Tweetiebird has family in Joplin and she is trying to get ahold of them to see if they are alright. She herself lives elsewhere in another state, so she is Okay.

I hope that the death toll stays low, although unfortunately it appears there will be a lot of casualties.

Thank you so much for the love you are displaying by opening up your home to your neighbors and those in need.

Again, I am glad that you and yours are well!

    You have a PM

Glad you and your family are alright. According to the weather man the reason the U.S. is having such bad weather is because of the extreme hot temp. in the S.E. and the extreme cold Temp. and snow pack in the N.W. These two extreme air masses are colliding and causing these bad outbreaks of tornadoes. Of course this does not help what happen Joplin. Between the great flood and all the tornadoes how will all of this be paid for? I see homeowers insurance going up. It is so nice your are showing to your neigbors what true chistian love is. Take care. Totally ADD

I'm glad that you are safe Robdar; and how kind of you to be so helpful to your neighbors. I didn't know that you had moved to Joplin. I was still thinking that you lived in KC.
