Checking in from Joplin MO via generator. My husband, father, mother, me and our 3 cats rode the tornado out in a hall closet. We are safe but there is devastation all around our neighborhood. We were in direct path and yet we made it with no damage. I don't know why. I don't know why.

Survivors of Tornado's are like Veterans from WW2 or any War.
Why do some get hit and I didn't.
Many Veterans say..."that's how it happens.... why him and not me?"

So glad you're okay. It must have been such a scary experience. I just heard that the death toll has gone up to 116 but I imagine it will go up. Thoughts and prayers are with the people in Joplin.

just saw this on channel 4 in Texas. The video is hard to see but what you hear is incredible. I bet these guys get offered a lot of money for this video and it will be used in a movie.
