    Yes a severe penalty. John 8: 23 & 24(NWT)

23 So he went on to say to them: “Y OU are from the realms below; I am from the realms above. Y OU are from this world; I am not from this world. 24 Therefore I said to YOU , Y OU will die in YOUR sins. For if YOU do not believe that I am [he], YOU will die in YOUR sins.”

    When you read the NT

The NT is a book which ''man'' wrote... Yes there are a few books which were ''inspired'' but even they have been tampered with. Go to the source, not a book.

    Peace

They say there's a heaven for those who will wait
Some say it's better but I say it ain't
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints
the sinners are much more fun...

    - You'll miss a delicious fish dinner with one of the best dinner speakers.

    - Apartness from God or being converted before going to heaven. The safest
thing to say is, "I'm going to heaven (why hope for that and not include your-
self?), otherwise: 'judgment is mine sayeth the Lord.'"

    - The other team gets a ringer:

Anyone who "decidedly" rejects God and His Christ will join the Devil, the Beast, the False Prophet, Death, and Hell in the Lake of Fire.

Revelation 20:14-15 This is the second death—Lake Fire. Anyone whose name was not found inscribed in the Book of Life was hurled into Lake Fire. The Message Bible

    See ya, see ya.

    Wouldn't wanna be ya.

When we die, we choose where our souls go.

If we choose to be with God, we go to him to be with him.

If we choose something other than God, that is where our souls spend eternity.

God does not want any soul to suffer, he calls all to Himself....but God respects the free will with which he has endowed all human souls.

The human soul was made to be in union with nothing less than the greatest and the best. It was made in the image of God.

However, some of us will love other things more than we love God.

There is nothing in existence that is intrinsically evil. God made all things, and they are all good.

However, evil consists of essentially assigning a higher value to something than it ought to have. It is a disordered love.

Some souls will love lesser things more than greater things, even the greatest thing of all, and they will choose the lesser at death for themselves.

To spend eternity with anything less than what our souls were made for is what I would call Hell.

Even in this life, we see people taste Heaven and Hell for themselves, but this is just a shadow of what these things really are.

The joy of heaven and the misery of hell are experienced fully after we die.

    Nico,

I will speak from the heart, Christ forgives all, loves all and his grace is for all.

Will you reject Christ? Nope, not when you know him and I say this base don what I know of YOU and what I know of Christ.

Can I be mistaken? Yes, about You, but not about Christ ( I know him better than I know you, sorry).

If you KNOW Christ and still reject him, well...then that is up to you, right? if you reject Christ then you don't want what Christ "has to offer" and that is certainly your choice.

Note: Not all Christians believe in THAT choice, some believe that some are preordained to believe or not-believe and I do NOT prescribe to that interpretation.

If God will through people in hell for not believing in him, when people disbelieve for legitimate reasons, then God is not benevolent. That's pretty bad conditional love.

Why can't your god just be nice Sylvia?

Because he's not bound by human frailties.

He deals with each of us individually according to our wishes.

And, He is God and Lord of all.

Was he bullied as a kid?

    Please.

    You're so much above this.
