Don Ami was a prick. His wife Natasha was an ice queen. I was a young servant when they served our cong. We were so glad to see them go. He had a thing about going out in service on the holidays. He gave a talk about it and was sadly disppointed when only a few showed up for service on Christmas Morning.

I love those arrogant types. I like to say smart-a$$ed remarks on the sly to them. One C.O. visited and shaking my hand he said "I think I'll be visiting you on Saturday for a sheperding call" I said..."Not that I know of" he said "well maybe in service we'll work a street together" I said "If I can wake up on time, I'll be there"
I slept in. People make a big deal of it..."Oh that information was so good. The C.O. talks are so blah blah blah...." I'm like "Nothing new has been said from the platform in a long time." You'll hear the same talks over and over. It's so boring now. Its insanity. You actually learn more about the bible from the Internet than at meetings. (maybe that's why the SOCIETY doesn't want us on here.)

I have to agree - I suppose one of the marks of an abusive religion is when they interfere in normal human relationships, decide what contact and how contact between parents and children, husband and wife are managed. It's sickening - there is no concept of "confidential" information. Bethel is gull of disturbed elders who are throughly nasty pieces of work, despite appearing to be pleasant. Papps, Watkins, Bell, Drage, Wade - all of them responsible, all of them nasty pieces of work.

You had Richard Cullen? I thought he was OK but I was young at the time, what did I know?
We had David Bingham for CO - he always seemed to hang with the pioneers and other high flyers. I spoke to him once how I was treated in the congregation and he told me I should just move to another hall!
Richard Cullen seemed just too pompus for his own good.
Dick by name and Dick by nature, we had him some years ago and he is one of the few I remember from that time!
In my friends congregation they had a CO, I never met him, but he was so bad no-one would put him up or feed him. He stayed in a local hotel and had all his meals there. The congregation just picked up the bill at the end of the week.
