I used to go door to door with a message of "whatever you are doing right now is wrong and will get you killed unless you preach door to door like me." That's not good news that's bad news!
The thing is .............. we didn't actually come right out and say that.
My advice to anyone who is being coerced into door knocking is to put the relevant documentation in their book bags, dog-eared at the necessary pages so that they can back up what they say if challenged by their partner, and go out knocking on doors with the real message that the HH would normally only get drip fed.
Maybe peddle copys of the 2003 Great Teacher book, using page 243 to convince the HH that he had better hurry up coz this is you, Bud

SABASTIOUS: I agree with you that their door-to-door work is predatory in some way. It is also dishonest, at least I felt it was when I did it. The message doesn't give the REAL story of what the religion is all about. I suppose the religion feels their message is "good news" because it is hoping that THEY will inherit the earth. The only problem is a billion or so other people have to drop dead first.

We should have, that was our actual message.

Such are the ways of mind-controlling indoctrination Sab . . . the bait must be presented . . . dripping with honey . . . before the hook is felt in the mouth. If anyone missed the thread about Norm Hovlund, it's worth a visit to his site. He has a great take (humerous and sarcastic as it may be) on the "Good News"
