Jehovah helps Haiti earthquake victims ... by printing Bibles - 2011 YB

So according to the YB, Jehovah and Jesus are quite the powerful invisible beings. Hundreds of thousands killed. 154 JWs died. But worry not - help was on the way:

"Shortly after the quake, David Splane of the Govering Body traveled to Haiti to provide comfort and encouragement. Brother Splane, who speaks French [but not Creole?], addressed the brothers at a circuit assembly and met with the Bethel family, missionaries, and circuit overseers. All deeply appreciated his loving concern and the tender care of the Governing Body" p.35 pgph 1

Now if that doesn't show divine intervention the next paragraph will surely convince everybody that God was looking out for Haiti:

"Despite what appeared to be insurmountable obstacles, the New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures in Haitian Creole was completed, printed, and shipped to the branch. The new Bibles arrived just hours before they were to be released at the district convention in July. Throughout the fast moving events of 2010, from the initial relief efforts until now, everyone involved has seen and felt Jehovah's constant guidance and support in ways great and small. Over and over, needed supplies, transportation, and personnel all came together at just the right time and in ways that were too perfect to have been merely coincidental. In the words of one longtime missionary, 'You had to be here to appreciate how clearly Jehovah's hand was in evidence.'"

Now that last sentence by the missionary really nails it. I'm betting that some 100,000+ dead haitians can testify that 'being there' really showed Jehovah's hand.

It also reminds me of that Onion article:

    I love your "Onion" article.

I wonder how Watchtower's Jehovah could arrange things in such a way to be beyond coincidence with delivering literature from a literature publishing company but He did not arrange things to spare his 154 JW's. They couldn't all have been bad.

well otwo, evidently(tm), bibles are more important that people.... because after all when a jw dies "jehovah does not promise us divine protection"... only bibles...

They are using the natural love we have for victims of tragedy and are using it to add credence to their brand of God; it's despicable. It serves as a direct challenge of the motives of anyone who acts in the same loving way that are not part of their spiritual clique.

Oh good, if it wasn't for Jehovah's Bibles those poor Haitians could have died!! Maybe they could use the Bibles as a canopy over their heads since their homes were destroyed. Maybe they could rip out a few pages and have them for dinner since their food is gone. Maybe they could clothe themselves with it. A Bible solves all their problems! It's all smooth sailing from here!

If you torn a page from a Bible, you can roll from it a nice marijane joint. Now do you see the value of the gift?
