    Oh, Mr. Flipper!

My first album,,, Harvest .... and thank you Paul T. if you are here, for giving me one of the most treasured things in my life, Neil Young.

I still feel this is the most achingly beautiful song ever done by a 'rock' musician ...

It's hard to make that change,

When life and love turn strange .... and co-o-old.

To live a love, you've gotta give a love.

To give a love, you've gotta be 'part of'.

Neil Young's first solo record called Neil Young was released in Nov 1968. This is unsung and unknown to even many of his fans. If you haven't heard the entire LP, do yourself a favor and treat yourself.

The first song on the first side was a little instrumental called Emperor of Wyoming. It has some awesome steel guitar in the arrangement. If any of you have my e-mail address, you know it's EmpressOfWyoming. Hmmm.

There has not been a copy of Neil's version on youtube, only covers. So I threw together a slideshow and posted the song myself. I haven't used windows movie maker before, so going back to edit this would take me too much time. The pictures flash more quickly than I'd like.

But here it is, in all its glory: Neil Young's Emperor of Wyoming

My video has been blocked by WMG. I hate WMG.

    Maybe this will work instead:

    Chicago, Harvest moon, Cinnamon girl.

When I was in my last year of High School I had about 3 hours of Art a day for half that time I had a whole classroom to my self to work on my painting. There was a record player with a few records which I used to listen to before going off to do other things instead of painting. "Chicago", "rules and regulations who needs them." was one of the songs along with Cream "Badge" that I would listen to. When I hear it. I am reminded of that year. It was a good period of my life. I left school and regular pioneered. The end was close!

I love "Cinnamon Girl" so much I wanted to name my daughter Cinnamon, but decided she did not need to be mistaken for a stripper. "Rockin in the Free World" is another all-time fave, but I can't believe no one's posted this one: (or did I miss it?)
