This has given me a whole new perspective on what web sites I should be developing. ;)
A fornicate Wildly button---Letter Sex---How come I'm only learning about this now!
Every JW I've ever known who got into trouble over fornication did it with someone from the Hall. I guess that anecdotal evidence means we shouldn't attend meetings. I hate the "experiences" these morons give. Out of 7M people, we can find every potential outcome as evidence of about any point we want, to cherry-pick with a predetermined goal in mind.
I know a couple, one person married one not, that developed their relationship in a backroom as he "helped" her control her children. So let that be a lesson . . .
Thing that i have noticed is they only ever refer to the danger of social networking in regards to fornication.Worldly assosciations=fornication.
its pretty clear that they dont want to mention JW actually learning the truth out there and leaving.not everyone who leaves is for immorality.
if they admit that then they will have to acknowledge free thinking!
Even the Amish think the Witnesses are too conservative.
Keep all those young brothers off facebook because......
I was just rereading this this morning and the thought came to me. How come they can't twist this into one of those "a brother communicated with a young lady, It was suggested that they meet by the young lady who had become so interested in the truths that the brother was telling her. A meeting was arranged and it led to a bible study. Nine months later and the young lady is .... drum roll ... not preggie but being baptized. She is in the audience with us today."
There was an elder in our area at one time who was helping (counseling) a young married couple. they were in their mid-20s. The elder (in his late 40's with a wife and 3 kids) ended up committing fornication with the sister. (gave the young brother a reason for "scriptural divorce")
Guess its not a good idea to become an elder then huh?
the GB is superscared of the internet. They know that witnesses are going on the sites and finding out all kinds of information. The news about the deletion of elders just so the Society can take over the KH (Menlo Park) is out there for anyone to see. They're slowly but surely loosing their grip. (on reality and members)
I don't think social networking will bring them down, but boy oh boy is it gonna hurt them. And so it should.
