I started watching Game of Thrones and it has become my fav tv show in a long time. I may even read the novels. I love fantasy novels and movies, I always tried not to like them and felt bad when a new book came out and always gave in and read it lol. I find myself hating the Lannisters in Game of thrones so much lol. Ned Stark is not very bright either. The only characters that don't piss me off are the bastard and Tyrion the dwarf.

No Room For George
I caught the end of the episode where the blonde dude recieved "his crown." That was messed up, although I wondered whether or not something like that would actually kill someone? That same episode the dwarf recieved his freedom after one knight fought the queen's knight on his behalf. I didn't quite understand it as I came in around the 3/4 mark of the episode. Seems like a pretty good show, although I would have thought the SyFy channel would have this as opposed to HBO.

Yea that the targareyan brat deserved his "crown". Karl Drogo is a beast. yea the dwarf made if back to his father. Every episode just gets better and better. I am definately hooked. The last show I was hooked on was the Wire, and Heroes for awhile too, but Heroes got kinda stupid after the 2nd season.

I love it!! My favorite story line on there is the Khaleesi. She has certainly taken the role of queen perfectly.

I do, I read all of the books and i'm patiently waiting for the 5th. I think HBO & crew did an amazing job in adapting the series.
@room for george. you would think that, but syfy has really dropped the ball over the past few years. The only show i even bother watching on it is Being human, otherwise it might as well be renamed to Spike TV 2.

THIS is exactly what I would love to see from a science fiction franchise but have never seen, this level of grittyness transferred over to SciFi would be epic.

Band on the Run
I watch it. It is ok. Homeland is so much better as is Boardwalk Empire. Altho I watched it from the start, I can't figure out what is going on. I thinking the writing and acting could be better for an HBO production. Of course, it is much better than anything on standard TV. I do like Mad Men.
I like anything that seems historical. Reign about Mary, Queen of Scots, is dreadful. GOT is so much better. I also purchased a highly recommended historical fiction book and despise it. Perhaps I am too old. I should be doing Broadway.
My favorite HBO show was The Sopranos but that was about my home country. The first time it aired my mom and I saw it together. We started laughing so hard at the way the woman dressed and the accents.
