Are they? In what way? What kind of troubles have you had?

Dudette, have you ever worked 3rd shift at a USPS mail facility? It's worse than a Waffle House after the bars close. They call it "going postal" for a reason. There be some weeeird people there. I guess spending 20 years sorting letters in boxes will do that to a person.

In the UK Royal Mail are holding packets for Canada back until the strike is over. I post regularly to Canada but I will stop posting until the strike is over.

Sorry to say but I send packets all over the world, and the Canadian postal system gives me more trouble than any other with the exception of the Netherlands which is the absolute worst.

I hear you slimboyfat. I paid for a premium delivery service that "guaranteed" delivery in 24 hours. I was sending a tender document. They took 36 hours. Oops. Missed the deadline. No apology. No explanation.

I'll be using a private delivery service for critical documents from now on.

Who mentioned "privatized"? Technically, it's privatized now. Canada Post is a crown corporation.

    Let's hope it's arms-length.

Unshackled, I am DOWN with BROWN!

Sadly, I had no choice in the matter. You make a good point, however, the striking postal workers are giving their competition an opportunity to clean their clock. Result: the postal service revenues will continue to decline.

They are delivering welfare cheques and old age pension. That's the latest I heard today.
