  Thanks for posting - I think the point is that is illustrates the legalism in the WTBTS insisting that couples spend "all night" in order to prove porneia. Exactly where they get this definition from is puzzling , but it is their long standing policy , without any scriptural support.

  I remember a not too dissimilar situation in a congregation where a couple were having an affair when they were supposedly out on the rural ministry. They used to conduct their relationship in various"lovers lane" laybys in the area and this was well known in the congregation (and to many in the "world"). Because they denied that this was happening , there weren't two witnesses and they didn't stay all night in a hotel or anothers home , neither of their innocent mates were free to scripturally divorce & remarry. Years later , admissions were made , but the legalism of the WTBTS meant a lot of unnecessary misery for all parties.

  Another factor is their insistence that resumption of sexual activities by the married couple then prevents either from obtaining a scriptural divorce. Again , there is no basis in scripture for this.
