Control is the name of the game. These stories irritate me. If The Society can pay for people to become lawyers, why not others? What is so outstanding or different in those selected that they can earn an income?

I find it absolutely disgusting. Few will question why Michael Jackson or Prince could grab crotches and write overt lyrics yet they must comply with all rules. Altho I am certain both gave much money to the Witnesses, it was certainly a small tirckle compared to the Widow's Mite.

They don';t give a damn about individauls. only the greater good of the org. The most gulllible will fall for it completely.

I knew a physcial therpay aide who worked for a reputable Catholic hospital. The hospital received government fundsa and could not proselytize. Of course, he could not work at a JW hospital b/c Witnesses don't believe in charitable works or helping the poor, despite Jesys' clear command. They forced him to give up his job. It is farcical to assume that a lowly PT aide is viewed as a propenent of the Roman Catholic Church. If he were a cardinal or member of the curia, I could understand. All that mattered were corporate papers.

Why don't they tell Witnesses to drop dead rather than use a Catholic hospital. Well, nothing is going to change.

I just have to bring this to the top for monday morning perusal to this point

I also love this blurb ""What church are they from?" I asked. "Jehovah's Witnesses," she replied.
I had no idea who the Witnesses were. So here they basically acknowledge how pathetic their "preaching the good news" really is.
