I have a hernia that I am avoiding having surgery on, unless it becomes a necessity, but it is a bit of an interesting phenomenon, because of it, like Adam, I have no belly button !!

Rest and do absolutely everything the doctor tells you to and more.
My roommate is also recovering from a hernia operation. Unfortunately he's doing all the wrong things. He's not resting by lying down in bed for several hours so that he can heal. He's suffering more pain as a result and is taking more codeine than he should. That, in turn is making him more constipated, which further aggravates and even endangers his operation.

LITS- So how are things going ?? Are you feeling a little better ? We talked with LITS several days ago but not since then. We'll talk tonight and mention the thread to her . We talked about it to her and she said " O.K. " to making a thread about her - but I'm not sure she knew for sure we were making a thread about her. Does that make any sense ? LOL !
