If anyone has the November 15, 2002 Watchtower, could you scan pages 6 and 7? (I believe these are the correct pages)

These pages contain an artist (mis)conception of a first century christian meeting compared with a modern Kingdom Hall meeting.

This picture would be an example of how The Watchtower presents history to suit its own purposes.

    Thanks in advance.

i've seen something worse on one of their current calendars: two first century "sisters" handing out tracts in field service...

Oh No! I can't believe that! (well, actually I can :) What is the Watchtower doing?

We need a scan of THAT picture also.

The Watchtower is super-imposing modern day JW activities upon the first century Christians.

They are molding the past in the shape of the present!

The two women are Timothy's mother and grandmother and they are not banging on doors. Not worth scanning or I would do it now.

Thought I'd c&p this from the other thread here too ...

He was describing a picture that was published in the November 15, 2002 Watchtower.

If anyone has that issue, could a scan be made of that picture?

VM44 - I've just dug it out and taken a look (p. 6 or 7, right?). It is the very same picture AMXIII put up from w. 2007, 06/15, p. 23 - where they're doing a 1st century weekly Parchment Study.

1C Christian "meetings" were nothing like modern JW meetings. The early Christians worshipped in a manner similar to the Jews. The Jewish and Christian liturgies are quite similar, and there is a reason for this. The Christians basically continued the Jewish worship service until they got kicked out of the Synagogues. Afterwards, they continued it under new arrangements, such as in homes. The Jerusalem Christians went to the Temple. On the first day of the week, they celebrated the Eucharist in homes.

This is the liturgy of St. James, which many date from the First Century:
