Colin Batley - I actually knew this guy and his wife 10 years ago. He creeped me out then. I felt sick and almost vomited when I read what he'd done.
I remerber A story about A guy in the in penitentiary,
he was housed in A cell along. Why, because he would
assault, rape or kill anyone they put in his cell. He had
A 4th grade education, pure evil or A few screws missing.
His acts were pure evil, but was he.
I think it's a term we use to describe something/someone we see as utterly without redemption, heinous. It doesn't really mean anything.
To me, acts can be pure evil, but maybe not people.
I'm talking philosophically here --- just logic, not emotion.

An example of evil ,,, child rape is pure evil. Is the rapist pure evil? I don't know.
I just looked up a definition,,,
1. Not mixed or adulterated with any other substance or material.
2. Without any extraneous and unnecessary elements: "pure art devoid of social responsibility".
So, perhaps a sociopath, by definition #2, could be considered PURE evil.
A very subjective term, imo.
