happy birthday and Happy anniversary, remember this is not the only birthday you will have nor the only anniversary, celebrate those you can when you can and let the others be more quiet affairs. Been in the same position ourselves many times things do have a habit of getting better.

If it's any consolation . . . my exit was a bit of a drama. I lost my health and was hospitalised . . . couldn't work for years. Lost my house and all my savings too . . . eventually went bankrupt (no shit)
We stuck together as a couple, and things have gotten much better over the last couple of years . . . and I'm back brother! The other posters are right . . . you'll find a way. Things can only get better after the rain. Hang in there bro.

I've been married to my husband for over 18 years now and not once has my parents acknowledged my wedding anniversary. I married the wrong person (wrong color, wrong religion) for my parents but he's the rignt man for me. We've been through thick and thin. He got sick and we lost our house but we're still here going strong. Times are still tough but we have each other and I wouldn't have it any other way.
