Mrs.Robinson, Mrs.Robinson........The English teacher I had for 11th and 12th grade would dress super professional. She was old school, but still modern in her fashion to some degree. She used to wear her blouses and skirts, and she'd cross her legs, and all you coud see was the males in the class room adjust their neck closer to their shoulders trying to get a better view of her garters. She had to have been in her mid to late 40's then too. After I graduated, I ran into a dude who was a year behind me, and he told me she had a nervous breakdown in the middle of class. I googled her and sure enough she has a Facebook page, and she was holding her grandson, so I guess she bounced back ok.
I'm starting to *like* pantyhose again :o

I have to wear pantyhose to work. I'm used to them and I do think they look more professional than bare legs. I have a hard time finding any that are not control tops. God, I hate them. I feel like a stuffed sausage in them.

Since I've stopped attending meetings, pantyhose have been pretty much banned from my wardrobe for a couple of years. Last winter, I started wearing hose and tights again. Tight hide a multitude of sins, don't want to get all TMI on yall.
I never wear pantyhose in summer, not now and not as a JW. And I hated prarie skirts as a JW(sorry JamieB and Emptyinside); I just stayed on top of my toe and leg maintenance in summer.

This reminds me: I saw a woman at Home Depot today - cute, good bod in a fashionable cotten shirt-dress, with very well made bare legs ending in running shoed feet (a little odd, but it worked).
When you got a little closer, you noticed her bare legs weren't so bare - they had at least a few weeks worth of hair. We're not talking about just going a day or two longer w/o shaving here; we're talking about a lifestyle statement. I must be really really needing it, because instead of saying to myself "YIKES!", I said to myself "hmmm, I wonder what that feels like?", lol. (ok, truthfully, I did say "yikes!" first).

Sherah, you're probably way too cool for prairie skirts, and you're a black girl, aren't you? Black girls don't have to worry about their ghostly white legs sticking out of a skirt. GAWD, that looks awful! Anyway, I never wore skirts of any kind, because even when I was trim, my wide hips made me look like a round table, LOL. I always wear long dresses with an empire waist. Empty is young and trim, and she wears more like hippie clothes. Now, she's a real cutie!

Funny, but I just don't care anymore about the color of my legs (ghostly white).
I wear shorts for casual sometimes and it just doesn't bother me.
I'm a white woman and have...WHITE LEGS!
I figure that people are more into what THEY are doing than what I am doing or wearing.
People are more self-centered than they are given credit for.
I will NEVER wear medias again!
