Prince: ‘You Wear a Burqa. There’s no Choice. People Are Happy With That.’

    Entertainment

    The Jehovah's Witnesses

According to an interview in The Guardian, Prince, a Jehovah’s Witness of nearly ten years believes Islamic theocracies – where citizens are told what to wear, where to go and what to do — cannot be labeled ”oppressive.” He went on to explain:

“We can’t do what we want to do all the time. If you don’t have boundaries, what then?

“It’s fun being in Islamic countries, to know there’s only one religion. There’s order. You wear a burqa. There’s no choice. People are happy with that.”

    Meh...

The Jehovah's Witnesses - er, the Watchtower Society has constructed a system that is incredibly repressive of females. What can one expect of a male follower - high-profile celebrity spokesman - for such a group...???

The funny thing about this is, how long do you suppose Prince would last in an Islamic country? I don't think they take too kindly to men who wear mascara and high-heeled boots, plus the soprano voice of his, lol, just saying.

That's the same thing I was thinking. It's funny that a man who chooses to wear makeup, flamboyant clothing, and high heels would deny billions of women the same choice. Why does he assume that those women are happy dressing like that?

It’s fun being in Islamic countries,

Can someone tell me, did the WT definition of "fun" change to mean something totally different? That is a very odd choice of words.

We can’t do what we want to do all the time. If you don’t have boundaries, what then?

And this explains why the JW religion appealed to him. He was in need of boundaries, someone to tell him what to do. He must not have any self-control.
