after a few beers and a bottle of french wine (2007 cote du rhone) i'm having myself some "ron zacapa centenario solera reserva". but that's probably because i spent a lot of time in latin america. i guess you gringos are more into whiskey? any rum drinkers? what's your fav?

i did have a few good rums in cuba too, but i don't remember the names...

I'm a fan of Woodford Reserve Wiskey. But mostly I drink wine.Either way -- CHEERS!

really good rum is awesome -- I'm thinking, Caribbean, dark,,, the stuff I can't afford.

but my personal choice is Scotch, preferably Oban or Dalwhinney.

it's awfully expensive here too, but when you go to the countries that stuff comes from, it's really affordable.

Sure, I do enjoy a good rum to sip on every now and then. There has been a couple of occasions where my dad has brough back a nice bottle or two from Cuba and I really enjoyed drinking them straight. BUT given a choice, I prefer whiskey if I'm gonna drink hard stuff straight up and unadulterated. Among the whiskeys, for me, bourbon is king. I lurvs me a bottle of Knob Creek whenever I can get some...

Whisky of course. Favorites ryes would be Gibson's 18-yr, Crown...or even Gibson's 12-yr.

Scotch: Oban wins by a few body lengths. Then there's Auchentoshan, Talisker....and good 'ol Glenlivet 12-yr. (gotta be single malt)

'nuff said ,,, and hey, speaking of scotch,, where is Lo-Key? hehehe

I'll take Fiddich in a pinch (and usually do, as I'm 'financially challenged' atm)
