Except that JW's have been running for almost 200 years (or according to them 2000 years) and still are in the other team's touchdown area.
That and they suck at football so they will all get tackled either by the facts about their team or death.

It's a stupid analogy.
The runner knows exactly where the goal post is - he can see it clearly and doesn't need to stop and ask for directions or a time count.
The WTS hides the goal posts, you don't know if you're a yard away or 50 yards away. And just when you think you're close, they move the goal post.
JW's love this type of stuff. It will keep them hyped for a few weeks. PalmTree67...I agree.
The real analogy is that the time ran out at quarter to eight and the runner still hasn't reached the line and the stupid coach is telling him to keep running when everyone else is packing up and looking for the next game. The runner is uncertain whether the rules have changed so now he's merely jogging so as not to look too stupid but also so his coach can't accuse him of quitting.
Spot on, Palmtree67. And isn't is damned annoying how the rules of the game keep changing and players keep getting sent to the sin bin for asking questions when the rules don't make sense.
He could have gotten so much more bang for his buck. I mean he could have blamed the apostates! Imagine if he said this, how excited the JDubs would have been....
"But, then the tv camera shows the halted player looking at the time clock on the score board. The tv camera pans to the score board. It is sponsered by www.freeminds.org The player leaves the field. The whole crowd is irate. They boo (shun) him and he loses all of his fame and fortune. And so, folks, that's how Jehovah and His angels in Heaven feel about us when we don't take our mission seriously and are stumbled by apostates. We lose our honor before Jehovah."
You CAN make this stuff up, folks. After all, the GB does.
The real analogy is that the f...g goal post keeps moving: 1914, 1925, 1975,.......
Any player would wonder what the point of the game is if they reached the goal post and the referee said, "Hey, idiot, you're not there yet...fooled ya!" How long before even the most "dedicated" player said, "This is total crap".
JW's will tell you there are sooooo close to the end zone, but they can't tell you at how many yards...

That is a keeper.

The WT, it's speakers and the elder tell us not to talk down the house holder in the ministry.
But after their baptized, then WT, CO's and elders can talk down to them with full immunity and authority.
Our family, fro some time have be of the opinion that these in positions of leadership thinks of it's congregates as
a bunch of "idiots!" Maybe because they were able to "throughly deceive (us)" with "counterfeit words."
