A cousin posted on Facebook that he attended the DC yesterday. He complained the no one was talking or smiling at him. He didn't have a name badge on and he's built like the weightlifter that he is. I'm not such if he's baptized or not but I'm pretty sure he doesn't attend the meetings often (he admitted as much on fb). I would ask why he even went but I would have to step lightly.

Mary, you are so good with come backs and I have forgotton how much I enjoyed them.
What peeves me to no end is the fact the Society will not build their own hospitals and schools and they bitch and complain about medical doctors forcing blood and schools kids bulling JW kids, if they won't help with other charities then let them built there own bloodly shit and leave the rest of us all alone.
They have so much money what the hell do they do with it are they like scrooge McDuck and sit on top of and count it and play with it. It drives me mad when they make witnesses feel quilty for not adding to thier coffers and they have the bloodly nerve to talk about other religons .
Well if it weren't for other religions there may not be hospitals and doctors in thirds world countries and people that give a dam about other people. Jehovah's witnesses are a bunch of sour pusses and I am just so pissed off with them. Many of you don't know but my sister left the organization two years ago and she has the guilts because her sons will not even talk to her mom won't talk to only on health problems etc and she may return and i am trying my darnest to keep her out and i need all the amo I can get to keep her out. Yesterday for the first time I sent her a youtube video and I pray it will help her reason it was on the Watchtower of July 15th so please think of her and help me to help her realize the witnesses are not the true faith. Thanks so verymuch.

In the drama on Saturday, the teenage daughter, who was beginning to show "worldly" attitudes, said she wanted to be a humanitarian. I thought, "that sounds like a good goal." But the drama made sure to make her choice look foolish by alluding to the idea that the only real humanitarian work that God would approve of would be the JW preaching work, especially in missionary form.
To a 'worldly' person who was reading this, they would probably be shocked and think 'oh come on, no religion is going to discourage charitable works or being a humanitarian'. Unfortunately in this cult, it's all too true. Years ago when I was still going, I was spoken to by the elders. My crime? Making a pot of soup and delivering it to a local soup kitchen. Why bother wasting my time helping to feed the hungry when I could be selling the latest copies of the Craptower and Asleep magazines? I also knew a couple whose young son was watching tv and a commercial came on about helping the starving kids in Africa. He picked up the phone to make a donation when his dad 'caught' him and had a long talk with him about what a waste it would be because only Jehovah's kingdom could put an end to the miserabl plight of Africa.

Aaah.....Well you see Brother Ranmac, if you'd only follow the advice from de Slaaaave not to go on Facebook, you wouldn't be distracted and could spend your time counting stairs during the afternoon session.

The same JWs who shun sponsoring starving children or other charitable works (inner city feeding; child poverty, etc.) probably spend hours/week in leisure, watching TV, sitting in their yard, gardening, shopping, sitting in religious meetings out of duty, eating out, going to movies, etc. They are hypocritical Pharisees. Mormons and evangelicals and Catholics are opposite theologically, but we will stand together as moral people against abortion and same sex marriage without compromising our spiritual convictions and the primacy of our gospel message. JWs are them vs everyone else, no matter how good or bad (fortress mentality). We agree that ultimate answers are in God's kingdom and the King's return, but wisdom also dictates planning for retirement, providing for family, serving the community, impacting our world in more ways that literature door-to-door (largely ineffectual). It should be both/and, not either/or if nothing else. William Booth/Salvation Army understood these issues and there will be many people in heaven because of his concern for the whole man (I usually support parachurch ministries that combine gospel preaching and meeting needs of the whole person; if one gives to an organization that saves lives or eyesight, then they could read the literature and go door-to-door, duh).
I have never been a JW and heard GB Gerrit Losch give a poor lecture (a verse about the Satanic Antichrist in Rev. 6 was applied to Jesus?!) on the last day.
Wait, what? Can you elaborate on this a bit more please? Thanks.

Rev. 6:1-2 He made the mistake of thinking because Jesus comes on a white horse at His Second Coming in Rev. 19:11 that Rev. 6:1-2 must also refer to Him. However, context is the key. A white horse is a symbol of victory, but Hitler or Churchill could ride one. Roman generals (bad guys) would ride a white horse in victory with their captives following. The chronology is wrong since Christ returns as a conqueror to earth at the end vs beginning of the Tribulation (Daniel's 70th week). The riders on the other horses in Rev. 6 also relate to destruction and judgment which precede the Second Coming/Christ by some period of time.
A better view is that the conqueror here is the future world ruler, the Antichrist (Dan. 9:26). He has a bow without an arrow indicating that the world gov't that he establishes is done without warfare (cf. Rev. 13:4). The future world gov't begins with a time of peace but is soon followed by destruction (I Thess. 5:3). The seals, trumpets, bowls of divine wrath are judgments climaxing in the Second Coming of Christ (forget the 1914 invisible nonsense).
So, Rev. 6 pictures the Antichrist (anti=against; instead of; counterfeit), while Rev. 19 pictures the true Christ.
This is not the end of the world since some Christian commentators also have made this mistake. There were worse interpretations in Losch's lecture relating to Daniel and Rev.
