    Where's the flower now?

It's mine get your own flower!

I graciously accepted it as I graciously accept my life.

Oh dear. Now one's senses and emotions constitute scientific data. Now there's desperation for you.

So after this experience my view on my life actually changed dramatically and a few true miracles have happened; in a crazy short amount of time to boot.

It is a good experience and I'm glad it changed your life for the better. But just to play devil's advocate, if you hadn't had the above mentioned experience, would you have viewed the proceeding events as miracles?

When I was in my teens, I prayed for a sign and got exactly what I prayed for. It was a small thing and afterwards I was kicking myself that I didn't ask for a better sign. Before that incident, as well as after, my life has really been filled with small "miracles". I really don't ask or pray for anything, but things just work out. Even major things. If I was of a diest mindset, I would be completely convinced that my life was being blessed by God. But I'm not.

Millions of prayers go unanswered every day from people in desperate need. If God is blessing my life, a heathen and unbeliever rather than protecting the poor, weak and sick of the world, crying out for his help, it's a pretty messed up system.

The events are standalone miracles by anyone's definition. I'll write them in this thread when I have the time.

I don't pray and, for the record, I don't consider that experience a prayer at all.

I'd appreciate it. Can't promise I'll convert, but I like to keep an open mind to people's viewpoints and experiences.

The miracles I may I have been gifted are considered by me as messages that I need to roll my sleeves up and get to work (my life).

Interesting Sab. Lots to say about it but perhaps the best thing is to echo what Paralipomenon said...I'm glad it changed your life for the better too. Really that's all that matters.

Couple quick follow-ups...you didn't address the poker incident. Far as I recall that occurred before the bath incident, so do you consider the poker one a "reaching out" event from god...one of the miracles?

And...you called yourself a deist earlier. Isn't deism belief in a supreme being that does not intervene in human affairs? Speaking of an experience of direct contact with god sounds more like theism.

^ The poker event is pretty much a non factor for me now (now that other events have transpired), but it still stands as a weird ass experience.

It does, I will have to consider that.

Dude, dreaming of guys giving you flowers while naked in the bath is evidence of something, but not God.

And science .... it isn't what you keep saying it is.
