If gold keeps going up, no will have the money to buy valuable jewelry.

My most financially valuable jewelry are the diamond earrings that my first husband gave me that I am keeping, along with my engagement and wedding ring, for my sons when they get older.

But, the piece that is most valuable to me is the mother and child pendant that my dad got me when I was pregnant with my firstborn. It is a mom profile and a baby profile looking at each other carved into a blue/white stone.

Here's one of my favorites... A carnelian 'bib'...

    carnelian bib

If I could buy enough carnelian to fill a child's swimming pool, I'd roll in the stuff - or swim in it!!

LOL @ OUTLAW... Leave it to him...

Thx, Talesin, but you'll notice that I'm not much of a jewelry 'maker' - I'm more of a bead stringer...

WISH I was, tho... Hey, you broke your hand?? Did it heal properly?? Are you SURE you couldn't do jewelry making???

Pssst!! I'll volunteer as your helper - I've got fairly strong hands!!
