  Thought I'd offer something to distract everyone from Jesus freak trolls, chemtrails and political debate threads. Not that those aren't entertaining...

  Use this thread to post your favorite classic rock band/song/show. I define the "classic rock" era from about 1964 (Beatles on Ed Sullivan) to about the end of 1979 (Pink Floyd - The Wall). Disco, new wave and mindless pop were taking over the radio by then.

  I prefer the 'deeper cuts' of that era. Even the superstar groups best songs weren't played on mainstream radio. You had to find a college station or an underground station.

  Meat Loaf - Here is the original "Bat Our of Hell" skip to 1:00 if you want to skip intro. I had the original vinyl and then due to fear of demons through it out. My kids found another one for me at a garage sale( my spawn). It was released I believe in 77 0r 78. Meat Loaf says he and the writer Jim Steinman almost could not find a record label for the album. It is actually a love song in the same vein as " tell laura I love her" per Jim Steinman himself. He is on this clip playing the piano. Some say they were the duo out of hell.

  the song seldom got full radio air time due to the original being about 11 minutes , I believe. all of Meat Loaf songs are long, except for perhaps "Two out of three ain't bad"
