Sorry, but I think that the answer is simpler than planning for specific change. Look, these frauds have lost manpower and employees who might have been able to handle the deluge of Witnesses sending in questions.

Take a good look at the Questions From Readers in the Watchtower and take note that it's repeated, regurgitated, cut 'n paste repetition. These guys are hitting softballs while Witnesses send in real queries that raise serious issues about their excuse for consistent theology.

They don't want to be bothered, they don't have the manpower and they don't care. And guys, why should they? I wonder if any older heads reason that they wasted tens or HUNDREDS of millions of dollars publishing books defending creation or Bible authenticity when it was all pointless. All they ever needed was to assert that 'we have the 'truth' and ignore all the facts. Blind, ignorant publishers wander into Kingdom Halls, they post growth and all is well. Who cares when people are willing to be so stupid?

Feel free to prove me wrong. I'd rather be mistaken but reality here seems irrelevant.

One would think they would have to stop the Dorothy Dix "'Questions From Readers" in the Watchtowers.

Otherwise publishers will think it's still ok to write to them with questions.

Neither the branch office nor world headquarters is in a position to analyze and answer all such questions that have not been considered in our literature. We can be satisfied that the Bible provides sufficient information to guide us through life….

I'm almost certain that this same statement was made at the Dist Conv part on Friday entitled something about QUESTIONS....

What metatron said. Can you honestly imagine the amount of resources required to try and answer some of these questions that are mailed in? Probably huge. Why actually try and answer all of those questions, most of them irrevalent to vast unthinking JW membership, when you just send them to a vague WT. Either they simply don't care anymore, or that department (Service Department?) must be taking far too many resources and needs some trimming.

In April 2010, I sat down with my PO at my dining room table and overwhelmed him for 3 hours with solid proof that Jesus could not have taken the throne in 1914. He basically had nothing to say except that I should consider writing the Society about my "doubts" (which weren't really doubts... I already knew it was a Nelson Barbour copy-paste gone bad). A few weeks afterwards, I finally decided to write to Brooklyn. After getting no response 3 months later, I sent another letter, then another. Finally, I receive a response which totally dodged my basic and simple questions, so I write back and get no response this time. Several months later, I finally get an email from the elder (who suggested that I write the Society)... he apparently received "instructions" to sit down with me and another elder (not a 3-elder JC but a 2-elder shepherding call). I respectfully declined to meet as I was already well into my fading process.... but I wonder if they received instructions to tell me "believe whatever crap you want to believe, we're done answering your questions" or somthing along those lines... I guess I'll never know... just sharing...

I had similar experiences. At first you are Shepherded then you are marked then you are marked as a potential apostate and then you fade or clash in a JC room.
